Our RSE sixth graders explored the beauty of poetry through a lesson on sensory details, imagery, and symbolism. After listening to "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost, they stepped outside to take in the world around them, observing nature, sounds, and small, everyday moments.
Inspired by their experiences, students used figurative language to create vivid and meaningful poems. They then shared their work with classmates, who had fun trying to guess what each piece described.
It was a thoughtful, creative exercise — and amazing to see how observant and expressive our students were in their writing!
Thank you, Mrs. Saunders and Mrs. Pisaneschi, for such a wonderful learning experience!
