Hours
The school day for Kindergarten through Grade 6 is 9:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. Our doors open at 8:45 A.M. for arrival. Families in need of before and/or aftercare are invited to register for SCOPE.
Arrival and dismissal information for before and after school clubs and activities for students in our older grades will be sent home for participants.
In the case of a delayed opening, before school activities and early morning supervision will be canceled. One hour delayed opening time will be 10:00 A.M. and students who ride the bus should report to their usually bus stop one hour later than their normal bus pickup time. Two hour delayed opening time will be 11:00 A.M. and students who ride the bus should report to their usually bus stop two hours later than their normal bus pickup time. Dismissal for either delay will be at the regular time of 3:30 P.M. Should it be necessary to close the school because of inclement weather or other emergency conditions, a phone call will be sent to you via our ParentSquare notification system. The announcement will also be carried on Cablevision Channel 12, the News12 Long Island School Closings webpage, and the following radio stations: WALK 97.5 FM, WLNG 92.1 FM, WBLI 106.1 FM, and WBAB 102.3 FM. Please notify the school if your emergency contact information changes.
Directions
From the West: Take Sunrise Highway East to Exit 61. Follow the exit signs to Eastport. You will come to an intersection with a stop sign; make a right (south). That is Eastport Manorville Road. Follow it south about a half mile to the end, where you will come to a “T” intersection with Montauk Highway. Make a left onto Montauk Highway (east). Follow Montauk Highway east past the town of Eastport, past the Eastport Elementary School, under a railway trestle, past the gas station, to the town of Speonk (stop light). Pass a small shopping strip on the right, followed by the Speonk Lumberyard. Watch for Westhampton Veterinarians on the left, with the Capital One Bank just past it. Make a right directly opposite the Veterinarian’s onto Old Montauk Highway (south) and then right onto Mill Road (south). Don’t worry if you pass it; just take the next right at the old Brick Water Mill and it will take you right back to Old Montauk Highway, and then Mill Road. After the “Y” joins, you will be able to see a “Slow, School” sign; that is for us, and we are on the right.
From the East: Take Sunrise Highway to Exit 63S. Go south on Old Riverhead Road past Gabreski Airport to Montauk Highway. There is a traffic light here; make a right onto Montauk Highway. Stay on Montauk Highway until you see the old Water Mill on your left. Make a left onto Old Montauk Highway once you see the mill. Don’t be concerned if you go past; just make the next left opposite the Capital One Bank. It is a “Y” intersection and both lefts will take you to Mill Road. Follow Mill Road south for less than a ¼ mile and you will see our school on the right.
