Big news from Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting!

The Remsenburg-Speonk School Board approved a resolution to place a capital improvement proposition on the May 19 budget vote ballot. If approved by the community, the project would bring several exciting upgrades to our school AND our community, including:

•Brand new playground
•Library extension
•Renovation of all school bathrooms
•An inner turf baseball field

The project would be funded through a combination of District capital reserve savings and a bond, which will be presented to voters on May 19.
