RSE Student Scientists Take Home Honors at Annual School Science Fair

Posted Date: 02/24/26 (10:47 AM)

Student innovation and discovery were on full display today as our annual Science Fair judging took place, showcasing projects from Kindergarten through sixth grade.

This year’s judging followed the same rubric utilized by Brookhaven National Laboratory for its prestigious annual science competition, giving students a true, real-world evaluation experience. Fifth and sixth-grade first-place winners will advance to compete at Brookhaven National Laboratory against students from across Suffolk County.Β

Judging was conducted by an esteemed panel of professors from Suffolk County Community College’s Eastern Campus, including:

  • Danielle Guercio, Biology Professor
  • Ted Koukounas, Mathematics Professor
  • Yu Zhang, Chemistry Professor
