Sixth graders celebrated a significant milestone last week—their graduation from the D.A.R.E. program. D.A.R.E., which stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education, is more than just a program; it’s a life-changing opportunity to learn about making positive choices, handling peer pressure, and building the skills to lead safe and healthy lives.
Over the past several weeks, our students have worked hard to understand the dangers of drug use, alcohol abuse, and risky behaviors. They’ve learned practical strategies for saying no, the importance of self-confidence, and the power of making informed decisions. Through discussions, role-playing, and engaging activities, they’ve developed the tools they need to navigate the challenges they may face in the future. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our 6th graders for their dedication, participation, and growth. They’ve embraced the D.A.R.E. values of responsibility, respect, and courage, and we are confident that they will carry these lessons with them throughout their lives. We would also like to express our gratitude to Officer Vecchio and Mr. Napolitano for their commitment to teaching and guiding our students through this program. Your encouragement and wisdom have made a lasting impact on these young minds.
To our graduates, this is just the beginning. Take what you’ve learned, stand strong in your values, and remember that you have the power to make choices that will lead to a bright, successful, and healthy future.
Congratulations, 6th graders, on your D.A.R.E. graduation. We are so proud of you, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things you will achieve.
