Posted Date: 11/16/24 (5:26 AM)

On Thursday, November 14th, the district hosted an inspiring evening of connection and learning at “Soup with the Superintendent,” a special event that highlighted the district’s commitment to fostering strong school-family partnerships while addressing critical topics in student mental health and cyber safety.

One of Mrs. Sullivan’s favorite pastimes—cooking soup—set the tone for this unique gathering. Parents enjoyed a warm and welcoming atmosphere, complete with a variety of delicious homemade soup prepared by the superintendent herself. The evening provided a perfect backdrop for meaningful fellowship among parents, educators, and community partners.

The program included presentations from the district's mental health team, Psychologist, Colleen Ferone and Social Worker, Sam Zuckerberg, and Southampton Town Police, School Resource Officer, Tony Vecchio. The discussion focused on practical strategies to support the mental well-being and the safety of students, in an increasingly digital world.

The district is very grateful for the Southampton Town Police for their expertise and partnership. Events like these reinforce the district’s commitment to holistic student support and a collaborative school community.
